College Admissions & Dream Act Workshop

Did you know the Cerro Coso Community College student body is made up of a variety of students from many different backgrounds, including those who are undocumented? At Cerro Coso Community College we honor and celebrate the wide variety of students we serve and we want to serve YOU! This workshop is a step-by-step demonstration on how to apply to Cerro Coso College and the California Dream Act. An Admissions technician will be guiding the demonstration and available to answer questions, and share best practices for admissions and the AB 540 residency process, which includes undocumented students. A Financial Aid representative will be available to provide an overview on the California Dream Act application. The California Dream Act is a state-based financial aid program for eligible undocumented students and can help ease the financial burden of attending college. Jesus Gaytan, Cerro Coso College Counselor, will also be hosting this workshop and will be available to translate the information. Thursday, February 17 from 9:00 to 10:30 am Zoom Link
