Rock Enroll Tehachapi! One-Day Express College Registration Event Wednesday, August 16, 2023 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Cerro Coso College Tehachapi will hold a One-Day Express Enrollment, allowing you to streamline your college registration process. You will receive one-on-one support with financial aid, academic advising, and other student assistance. Staff will help you get enrolled in our in-person classes. There will be free food. Want to become a paid Peer Mentor for Access Programs? Attend this Information Session to learn more about the qualifications and the mentor’s role. Peer mentors are positive role models who offer guidance, encouragement, and a supportive network that contributes to their peers' overall college success. Mentors build connections with students through regular meetings, promote student engagement, and assist with program activities and college events. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Be at least a second semester student and have completed at least 12 units. Have a 2.5 overall GPA (or 2.5 GPA in the last semester in which 12 units or more were completed). Thursday, July 27 from 10:00 to 11:30 am Room 235 IWV Campus and on Zoom. Register via Zoom

Wednesday, July 19th at 7:30pm This free, open to the public, family-friendly outdoor event will take place in the fountain/quad area just outside the Student Center at the IWV campus. Attendees may enjoy free popcorn and beverages (water, soda, etc.) and are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs, blankets, or pillows.

Cerro Coso Community College will be holding its 39th Spring Awards Luncheon on May 4th in the Community Room, MB 350. The celebration and lunch will begin at 12:30pm. The awards luncheon is a time to celebrate the academic achievements of students and outstanding staff. Outstanding Achievement Awards will be given to students who have maintained a 4.0 for the spring 2022 and fall 2022 semesters while maintaining 40 grade points per semester. Other awards include students who have been chosen by their instructors for outstanding achievement in a program area as well as student awards given by East Kern Center and Eastern Sierra College Center, and recognition of scholarship recipients, athlete of the year, and classified staff and faculty of the year, full-time and adjunct. Come help us celebrate student and staff achievements!
